Under Pressure Sports
For Scuba diving certification and training we offer Scuba Schools International or SSI as well as NAUI and DAN courses at an affordable rate for ages 10 and up.

For more than 40 years, Scuba Schools International (SSI) has provided training, scuba diving certification, and educational resources for divers, dive instructors, dive centers and resorts around the world. Started in 1970, SSI has expanded to include more than 30 Service Centers, is represented in more than 110 countries with over 2.500 International locations, and has materials printed in more than 30 languages.

SSI is clearly the name to trust in the diving world, and we attribute that success to our uncompromising standards and focused methodology.

Since June 1, 2010, Scuba Schools International is one of the few training agencies who qualified for a Global ISO Certification. 7 SSI Programs, 5 for divers and 2 for instructors, got certified after the International Standards – ISO 11121.

Divers Alert Network (DAN) is a group of not-for-profit organizations dedicated to improving diving safety for all divers. It was founded in Durham, North Carolina, USA in 1980 at Duke University providing 24/7 telephonic hot-line diving medical assistance. Since then the organization has expanded globally and now has independent regional organizations in North America, Europe, Japan, Asia-Pacific and Southern Africa.

The DAN group of organizations provide similar services, some only to members, and others to any person on request. Member services usually include a diving accident hot-line, and diving accident and travel insurance. Services to the general public usually include diving medical advice and training in first aid for diving accidents. DAN America and DAN Europe maintain databases on diving accidents, treatment and fatalities, and crowd-sourced databases on dive profiles uploaded by volunteers which are used for ongoing research programs. They publish research results and collaborate with other organizations on projects of common interest.

The National Association of Underwater Instructors (NAUI Worldwide) is a non-profit 501 (c) (6) association of scuba instructors. It is a recreational dive certification and membership organization established to provide international diver standards and education programs. The agency was founded in 1960 by Albert Tillman and Neal Hess.  NAUI is headquartered in Tampa, Florida (USA) with dive and member instructors, resorts, stores, service and training centers, located in Japan, South Africa, the Middle East, Europe, Mercosul (Brazil) and the Pacific Rim.

It was officially CE and ISO (International Organization of Standardization) certified in May 2007 in all three diver levels and both instructor levels and re-certified for its Scuba Diving Programs as meeting ISO and (EUF) European Underwater Federation standards on November 24, 2015.

The U.S. International Revenue Service determined that NAUI be a tax-exempt, non-profit educational organization in 1971.

Agency standards, policies, and ethics are governed by the Association’s Board of Directors (members themselves), who are each elected through a democratic election process by the overall instructor membership.
